Beryl Lillecrapp's hand written recipes haphazardly filed in a green folder stayed on her daughter's bookshelf for many years unopened. The folder was full of dust and cobwebs, when her daughter opened the folder revealing the recipes. It was obvious to her that she should print these recipes so that they would not be lost. During the process of preparing for printing these recipes it was evident that the cook book should be called "A Mother's Heart" to honour and reflect the heart of not only her own mother but all mothers.

Lil is married to an incredible man that has been in her life for over thirty years. Marty is a paramedic, and Lil is a registered nurse. They have 2 adult sons, Luke and Scott. The family as a whole attends church at the Calvary Christian Church, Townsville. Lil is passionate about her family, home and her church family. She loves entertaining and having people for BBQ’s and dinner. She along with Marty is passionate about the younger generation, and has a strong desire to stand alongside this generation to assist and support them in their life journey. Lil grew up on an isolated property in the Flinders Ranges which is in the northern part of South Australia. She and her 3 brothers were home schooled prior to going to boarding schools in the capital city of Adelaide. Apart from school, the young family would entertain themselves by helping their father on the property mustering sheep on horseback to taming and riding wild donkeys! Due to the isolation of this family’s world, visitors to the property would be a big occasion and Lils mother Beryl would ensure that a very warm welcome awaited those who visited. Due to this Lil learnt at an early age how to ensure people felt welcome and at home within the Lillecrapp home.
