It is an African fictional story that revealed the power of light over darkness in a contest that took place during the christening ceremony of a destiny child that will turn around the fortune of his community. The setting centers on a blind pastor, Pastor Adamu Katnyam, who was trained by European missionaries in the 1950s. It also motivates the rural settlers to leave palm wine tapping and face Western education because it is the way forward for a typical rural and urban settler. This book also gives background knowledge of a community that has never been written about in any formal journal.

About the Author:

Gideon Dashe was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Yilpiring Godfrey Dashe in Kano state of Nigeria. His parents are both from Chip(Mhiship) District of Pankshin Local Government Area in Plateau state. He left kano to attend primary school in Pyabor a neighbouring village to his village, Mhinzam. The intention of his parents was for him, their first son, to secure admission into a missionary secondary school in Gindiri. He was successful. He proceeded to University of Jos, where he bagged a Bachelor of Pharmacy. He has never associated with a literary group or has ever shown tendencies for creative writing, but the inspiration was sparked in July 2011 while listening to a sermon by Myles Munroe at T. D. Jakes church aired by Dan Foster an American radio presenter with the Inspiration FM in Lagos, Nigeria of West Africa. The Author has been in his village for seven (7) good years during his pre-university studies and it has helped in the creative perspective of this fiction. The Author is married to Bether and is blessed with a son named Green and a daughter, Bernice. His book turned out to be the first book to come out from his chiefdom. A brief background knowledge of his chiefdom in also included in the later part of the book, since there is no online article from any quarters about his people. He is currently working as a Product Manager with Fidson Healthcare Plc, Lagos, Nigeria.
