Synopsis

San Francisco is a small city with big problems. When Matt Stark witnesses his father's murder, he decides to rid the city of one of its problems - the man with the scars. Matt is dangerous with his fists. He is good on a motorcycle. Vengeance is new to him, but he is a quick study. With the help of his childhood friend, Striker, and the beautiful and mysterious Maria, Matt decides to find his father's killer and even the score. "The City" has many secrets, however, as Matt discovers when he embarks on a quest for justice that will make him question everything he thought he knew.

About the Author

Primarily a fiction writer, Mader also writes nonfiction and music. He began his professional writing career at age fourteen as a sportswriter in San Diego. Mader is a graduate of the Creative Writing program at San Francisco State and an avid flash fiction fanatic. He is a father and a teacher when he isn't writing or sleeping. 

Mader is an award winning short story writer and author of the acclaimed novels Joe Café, along with the 'Matt Stark' series, several collections of short stories, a book about pregnancy (yup, you read that right), and a book about "fishing for beginners." And one romance. (Not that kind of romance.) He has also been lucky enough to collaborate with some amazing writers and is included in several anthologies.
