I have been quilting for over 30 years and recently wrote a children's book entitled "The Adventures of Little Mouse" (Life outside the mouse hole) which is a metaphor about children making good decisions and consequences of those decisions. Both books are based on the journal I wrote about my daughter as she faced tough decisions in her life. My love for quilting lead me to design the quilt that tells the story of Little Mouse.

As a mother, myself, I have watched the struggles children have in making the right choices and decisions and the consequences that follow. My hope is to help children learn how to make good choices on small decisions that will lead to making the right decisions in the future when those decisions are larger and carry larger consequences. Little Mouse represents my daughter and the process she had of learning to make good choices after living through some of the bad consequences. My husband and I live in Snohomish, Washington and enjoy the wonderful Pacific Northwest from the ocean to the mountains and everything in between. My passion for writing this book came from a journal I wrote about the 10 year time span wen my daughter was age 17-27. Even though she was dealing with bigger issues and decisions, I reflected back on when she was younger and wrote stories in metaphor where Little Mouse has to make similar choices. This book has inspired my other passion of quilting and I have developed a quilt design that has blocks representing each story in the book
