About the Author:
Barbara Bentley grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, in a middle-class, blue collar town. She graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Marketing and was the Outstanding Undergraduate of the Business School at Golden Gate University in 1986. Her new degree allowed her to advance in the Quality Assurance arena and she retired after a thirty-nine year career. Bentley is a victim’s advocate in California, where she was directly responsible for the passage of Assembly Bill 16, which changed California divorce law. A member of STAND! For Families Free of Violence, she addresses women’s and victim’s rights organizations, and her story was featured on Lifetime’s Final Justice and NBC’s Dateline. Her first book, A Dance with the Devil: A True Story of Marriage to a Psychopath, was listed in the Huffington Post as one of five books to read to learn about psychopaths. She maintains the web site www.adancewiththedevil.com to continue to educate the public and to provide links to agencies and websites that can help a victim after an encounter with a psychopath. In 2009, she was awarded the prestigious Paul H. Chapman Award from The Foundation for Improvement of Justice in recognition of her accomplishments in Legal Reform. As Bentley wrote her first book, she realized she had used four tools to achieve success. She shares those tools using four events in her life as examples in her second book, "The Little Book of Success: Turn Your Dreams into Reality with Four Simple Tools"
Review:
“My success as a novelist began when I adopted the principle of the four P’s. Many have talent, but it is pursuing our dreams with passion and overcoming obstacles with patience, persistence and, sometime, prayer, that brings true success. The Little Book of Success should be on every home coffee table.”
Robert Dugoni, New York Times Bestselling Author
“Thanks for a great little book, big in impact with personal examples, vivid stories and thought-provoking questions at the end of each of the four P’s. I especially resonated with this book because in my book in 1991, I outlined 5 P’s to success and your 4 were on the list. The P’s really work and this book makes it easy to apply them to making your life work.”
