Bill McKeeman grew up in California. He earned a BA in Math from Berkeley, MA in Math from George Washington University and a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford. He fought the Cold War flying aircraft for the US Navy, taught Physics at the US Naval Academy, and Computer Science at Stanford, The University of California at Santa Cruz, Harvard and Dartmouth. He holds over 20 patents from many years as a computer designer/programmer for Burroughs Corporation, Digital and The MathWorks. The book HuGo, his first work of fiction, comes from a lifelong puzzlement with the propensity of people to look down on and often mistreat almost everyone who is different, including the great apes. He now is retired in New Hampshire.
