Naked Greed is the first volume of a trilogy. It is followed by Cunning Killer (2012) and Moving On (2013). An international company, well-known for providing weather data from its satellites to governments has recently begun experimenting with weather modification. But something went wrong and the result inundates New England with a crippling snowfall -- much like the famous Blizzard of 1978. The CEO of Scan-Man has vanished. His girlfriend, Ellen, is told he has died in a flaming car crash. But Ellen will not believe the story. Will she find him? If she does, will he recognize her? Who was it that really died? Ellen, with the help of her friend, Maggie, go to extraordinary lengths to find Ellen's lover. One adventure involves parachuting from an Army helicopter over Boston in the midst of a blinding blizzard. Why are these women driven to these extremes? How can they overcome this weather in order to save scores of people from hunger and cold, stranded for days at a local hotel without electricity and heat? Then there is the sexy Puff Chabus who is trying to seduce Phil, Maggie's husband. Puff also falls for the blue eyes of a suave Army pilot who nearly kills her when she denies him the opportunity her sexy words and actions have implied. Will Puff steal Phil away from his wife with her charms? Will the suave pilot return to Puff for revenge? Consider now the wealthy Randolph family. Their mansion burns down following a night of partying with a boring group of celebrants. Ed Randolph, who is also involved with weather modification, and is under extreme stress over Scan-Man's errors, has a mental breakdown. His wife, Marsha, refuses to take care of Ed as well as her 9-year-old son whom she has never wanted. She flees to Naples, Florida where she takes up with an older gentleman who introduces her to the wonderful world of Naples high society, art and music. Will her identity be discovered? Will Ed recover? Is the boy getting good care with another family? Will she lose her husbands considerable wealth? Meanwhile, a vicious, hired female assassin appears who calls herself the "cat." She has been toying with the Scan-Man CEO, at first by shooting him in the arm through a window as he sits as his computer and, secondly, by shooting his guard and beating up the CEO in a dark parking lot. "I am the cat," she says as she pummels him, "and you are the mouse. You are going to die!" she promises. Will she be caught before she attacks the CEO again? Will she kill him? Who is this woman? Why is she doing this? What is the lifestyle of a professional killer? Another colorful character is Odie Gallop, a private investigator. Scan-Man hires Odie to find the so-called "cat" woman. Odie is not your everyday detective. He has his own ways of fulfilling a mission. Will the cat woman get him before he gets her? So throughout the Trilogy there are a number of plots and many of the same characters. They love and they hate and are very much alive in all three books. The plots are interwoven in short, punchy sections throughout the books -- so the stories move along very quickly. Each of these three volumes may be read as individual suspense novels.
