Jeremy Simcha Garber, the former Poetry Editor of the Reconstructionist magazine has written that: "Although he writes in English,...Guberman seems in many ways to be a Hebrew or Yiddish poet. He is unselfconsciously familiar with broad aspects of Jewish literature, rituals and history which inform his felicitous imagery....Guberman writes lyrical love poems with a bittersweet Jewish taste. Unlike many American Jewish poets, his concerns extend beyond the narrowly religious, political or sentimental."

Review:

Prof. Norman Simms (Univ. of Waikato, New Zealand retired, author of many interesting titles) recently wrote about "A History of Interruptions" that "...there are some wonderful pieces in there, ones I would love to have written myself, for their clarity, textures and wisdom; and then that I also enjoy the layout, the photographs, and the words around the verse.  I keep dipping into your poems, which are so rich and deep with significance. It is a book that deserves to be read by many and also deeply many times."
