Dewy Spearman is sent by his mentor to New Orleans to teach drama and direct Macbeth as the beginning of his professional career, or else; but all productions of Macbeth are cursed. Warned by the dean against having affairs with students, one Lolita vows to have Spearman's head on her pillow. The business manager, exposed as a thief, wants Spearman's head on a sword. The theater's wealthiest patron, enraged by Spearman's removing her pet actor from the lead role, wants Spearman's head on the unemployment line. The murderously jealous consort of his Lady Macbeth, cuckolded by Spearman, wants his head on a pike. So, Dewy Spearman finds himself on stage, in Macbeth's costume, sword in hand, fighting for his reputation, his career, his life, and for his lady's release.

About the Author:

George Winborn Morrison is a practicing psychotherapist as well as an industrial and organizational psychology consultant and a life-long actor. His life journey has taken him coast to coast from Savannah, Georgia, to Spokane, Washington. His stops in between include Tennessee, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, and Nevada. He fell in love with the French Quarter when he was a student at Millsaps College, a few miles north of New Orleans, and he continues to explore New Orleans as opportunity arises. George’s theatrical career began with his performance as the Pied Piper in a second grade production of The Pied Piper of Hamlin. In the ensuing years he’s earned acting credits in more than fifty professional and amateur productions in theater, cinema, and opera. George began creative writing in his third decade shortly after developing Write on Target, a learner-guided instructional course in effective business writing. George Winborn Morrison is but one of at least three authors named George Morrison who currently publish but he is the only one whose middle name is Winborn and who was born in Savannah, Georgia.
