The Busker Book is a collection of stories, tips and resources about "busking" aka street performing. A veteran with 30 years of busking under her belt, and a rare solo woman performer who writes political satire, Anderberg provides a unique glimpse into the world of busking from the inside out. This book includes information such as how to find a pitch to play on, how to use buildings as microphones, buskers' favorite tips, as well as interviews with other buskers, busker etiquette, places to busk, busker history, information about busking free speech battles, and modern buskers. Author Kirsten Anderberg has been a busker since 1978 and has lived the life of a street performer since her teens. Performing as Mother Zosima, a satiric nun, since 1989, Anderberg has provided shoot-from-the-hip lyrics and acrobatic vocals to delighted audiences for decades. The author earned her BA Degree from the University of WA in Political Science, her MA Degree from CA State University Northridge in History and Archiving and is currently working on her Masters of Science Degree from CA State University in Instructional Design and Technology.
