One of the most heartbreaking things for a couple wanting to have a family is having to go through unexplained infertility. When faced with this issue, coupes usually go through tests and evaluations in order to figure out why they are not getting pregnant after trying for a year and not using any form of contraceptives. More often than not, there are underlying issues that the preliminary tests could not detect that has to be dealt with if a woman who is experiencing unexplained infertility is to have a chance at becoming pregnant. There are a number of issues that cause a woman to have difficulties with becoming pregnant. Some of these issues are inclusive of blocked tubes, issues with the sperms, low rates of ovulation, the eggs not being fertilized due either to it not being penetrated by the sperm or it not being released into the fallopian tube. There are a number of treatment methods that are used in trying to help infertile couples to have a child. These range from fertility medications such as clomid to increase the number of matured eggs that are developed in a woman who is trying to become pregnant while experiencing unexplained infertility, to more aggressive treatment methods such as controlled ovarian hyperstimulation, IUI and in vitro fertilization; both of which has had relatively good success rates; in vitro fertilization more so than IUI. Albeit these treatment options can turn out to be costly, when it results in a successful conception and delivery of a precious child, then the end would have justified the means and it will be worth it all in the end.

Anna Gracey and Dana Tebow are sisters of the heart when it comes to the issues of unexplained infertility since they have both had to deal with it themselves; Tebow with all her three pregnancies and Gracey with her one child and presently with her trying to give her child a sibling. Both have found it very necessary to come together to put this important information together in a collaborative fashion so that women who are going through the same thing they did, will benefit from their experience but will be able to do so from a space where they are armed with the requisite information that can help them to make more informed decision; knowing what to expect and what to do in order to greatly increase their chances of becoming mothers for the first, second or even the third time, while having to do it dealing with infertility that is not easily explained. Anna Gracey grew up as an only child and still remembers the loneliness she felt and vowing to have at least four children when she grew up so that they can have their own built in playmates and best friends. As such, having to deal with this tough issue of unexplained infertility has dropped the number to two children, but she had her first child after trying for two and a half years and that was six years ago and she has ben trying for the second one since her son turned two years old, with no success. She came upon a book written by Tebow on Ovarian stimulation and contacted her. The passion the two have in relation to this issue was what triggered discussions about unexplained infertility and then this book was born.
