Day By Day With God's Biblical Promises: Applying God's Promises to My Life
*** Volume 2 of the series ***
There are hundreds of promises contained in the pages of the Bible. These Bible promises include every conceivable topic or issue that we may encounter during our journey on this earth. This book is unlike any other devotional that you may have used because it directly focuses on Bible promises and was written to make God's promises more real and applicable to daily living.
Each Biblical Promise Daily Devotion Contains the Following Four Parts:
1. A Verse or Series of Verses that Include the Promise from 2 Different Versions
The verse(s) containing the Bible promise are presented in the modern New American Standard Bible translation and the traditional King James Version for you old school Bible readers
2. A Story, Anecdote, Quote, etc. that I have Heard, Read, or Seen
The context section of each Biblical Promise daily devotion is designed to make the promise more memorable using a story, anecdote, or quote that is directly applicable.
3. How to Pray the Verse Back to God
God wants to hear from his children, so whatever we want to talk with him about is great. I've recently learned about using God's Words from his divinely inspired Bible as our conversation with him. He makes promises, tells of his love, grace, mercy, and favor. No, God hasn't forgotten his promises or his words. Praying Biblical Scripture back to God is about us. It's about us hearing and being reminded of his wonderful promises.
If you haven't had the opportunity to pray Scripture back to God, I show what it looks like to me, to get you started. When you just don't know what to pray to God, open your Bible and pray Scripture to him. After all, prayer is just having a conversation with our Heavenly Father.
4. Bullet Statements to Help You Make It More Personal
This section is intended to get you thinking of how you can make the promises personal to your life. I get you started, but you know you best, so trust God and yourself to determine how to make the promises personal.
It's important to take action on what we read. Many of God's promises are freely available, but there are also many that require some action on our part. Please be proactive and incorporate God's promises into your daily life by making positive choices.
