Nurse Edith Cavell helped over 200 soldiers escape occupied Belgium in the First World War, but was arrested, tried and executed by the German authorities in October 1915. This play dramatizes the last years of Edith's life from the relative comfort of her home in Norfolk to occupied Brussels and her eventual execution. It was first performed at the Platform Theatre, Norwich in December 2012.
