The complete collection of "Troy" comics. Set in a slightly fictional version of West Hollywood, CA., quite possibly the gayest, little city in North America, “Troy” follows the everyday trials and tribulations of Troy, a “typical,” young, urban, gay guy. The themes, however, are universal enough for anyone who's ever felt friendship, love, infatuation, lust, jealousy, or gone through a bitter and painful break-up at the hands of a psychotic ex can understand. The tone is, at times, rather sarcastic! One of the longest running, regularly published, gay comics, "Troy" ran from 1998 to 2012 in numerous LGBT publications and websites throughout the world. All 301 strips (plus one new one) are included here on 160 pages of full color.

Michael graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1994 with a BFA in illustration and moved to Chicago to make big bucks as a commercial artist. The job market being what it was at the time, lousy, he got a job bartending at Roscoe’s, a big, gay bar in “Boys Town.” In those years, he fell in love, broke up, fell in “like” a few times, broke up a few more times, and got cast in several stage productions and commercials. After five years of acting and bartending in Chicago, he moved to LA to chase a dream. There he, of course, ended up bartending again but also doing a lot of illustration and animation, which lead to the creation of “Troy.” “Troy” began life as a doodle on a cocktail napkin. It was a slow night. In 2011, Michael developed “Troy” as the animated, short film “Troy: Naked Boys Behind Bars, Sing!” a silly, sweet, slightly sarcastic, animated satire of cheesy, gaysploitation entertainment, which has played in film festivals all over the world. His other work includes the seven-part, animated, parody “The DiCaprio Code” for The Walt Disney Internet Group, editorial and commercial illustration, and character design and animation for commercials, TV, and the net. He lives in Los Angeles with his partner Toby and dog Lucy.
