Fresh out of veterinary school in 1968, Dr. Dionne was ready to embark on his professional career. He soon realized his education was just beginning. Warm Hearts for Cold Noses chronicles the warm, often hilarious adventures of a young veterinarian learning his trade with a series of unexpected cases and lovable creatures: Eggbert- a turtle with a cracked shell Salty- an Amazon parrot who had a lot to say Clarence- a duck that was too sick to fly south Desiree- a deer with a big heart Squeaky- a white mouse with attitude Rachel- a raccoon escape artist Ziggy- a polecat...(what exactly is a polecat?) We witness and enjoy the humorous and unpredictable nature of learning through experience that is unique to veterinary medicine.
