Don't panic! The Hitchhiker's saga returns once again with a brand-new Full-Cast Dramatization of ''So Long and Thanks for All the Fish'', the fourth book in Douglas Adams' famous ''trilogy in five parts.'' Simon Jones returns as Arthur , Geoffrey McGivern as Ford, and Stephen Moore as Marvin. William Franklyn is the Book and Jane Horrocks is Fenchurch. Guest stars include Stephen Fry, June Whitfield, Bill Paterson, Arthur Smith, Sir Patrick Morre, Jackie Mason, and Christian Slater.

Many are familiar with Douglas Adams' classic Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, but few know that these books started out as a multi-part series performed on BBC radio. This installment, part four of five, is a robust radio dramatization of ''So Long and Thanks for All the Fish.'' **This extended CD edition features thirty minutes of material not heard on BBC Radio 4.

The Earth has miraculously reappeared and, even more miraculously, Arthur Dent has found it. Returning to his cottage after . . . well . . . ages, he falls in love with the girl of his dreams, the otherworldly Fenchurch. But Ford Prefect is on to something that might well burst Arthur's happy little bubble. There is, after all, something very fishy about his girlfriend's feet, and what has happened to all the dolphins? Perhaps, at last, all will be revealed in God's Last Message to His Creation.

About the Author:

Douglas Adams (1952-2001) was the much-loved author of the Hitchhiker's trilogy, including ''The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'', which was later adapted as a feature film. Best known for his imaginative and comedy-rich science fiction series which sold more than 15 million copies worldwide, Adams also wrote extensively for television, stage, print media, and computer games, as well as working in acting and radio comedy.

From AudioFile:

Based on SO LONG AND THANKS FOR ALL THE FISH, this BBC production follows Arthur Dent, the last survivor of Earth, who has discovered that humanity has merely been relocated to an alternate Earth. After getting the hang of traveling the universe, Dent returns to Earth to resume his life, but, of course, the universe is never that simple. This episodic radio comedy certainly delivers the continuity of the original series from the 1970s. Simon Jones masterfully reprises his role as Dent as if 25 years hadn't passed. With other voices from the original and slightly updated sound effects, this audiobook delivers all the guilty pleasures that made this series popular so long ago.
