Despite a very normal childhood, by this I mean there was no sexual or violent abuse, i had a mother and a father and siblings. i was intelligent, creative, good at sports, popular and confident. I've never wanted for anything and always been loved and encouraged yet somehow I still grew up broken. The madness started not long before my 18th birthday after that it is all I have known. I must have been no older than 15 when my girlfriend at the time brought me a fine liner and a Disney writing book. I had been writing for a while but only ever on scraps of paper in pencil. I'd never had a book that was just for writing or a fancy fountain pen which somehow made me write more, recording thoughts, dates, times everything anything. Soon I never left the house with out my writing book. I have kept journals ever since, some 4 or 5 a year all marked with the date and time endless pages of crazed rambling and the rawest of feelings. Which would many years later create "Tales of love and madness"
