About the Author:
Dr. Dwight A. Perry oversees the Great Lakes regional conference of Converge Worldwide. Previously he served as Professor of Pastoral Studies at the Moody Bible Institute, as an executive with the Baptist General Conference and as a pastor of several churches. He earned a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is author of Breaking Down the Barriers: A Black Evangelical Explains the Black Church (Moody Press). Dr. Perry and his wife Cynthia live in Madison, Wisconsin. They have four grown children and four grandchildren.
