John Jewell was the author and publisher of Sermonhelp.Com from 1998 until 2005. His parish ministry spans five decades and although retired is active in preaching at Brookfield Congregational Church in Brookfield, WI where his wife Kathleen Rinear is senior pastor. Along the way in his journey, John trained at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL as a CPE resident and continuing studies at the Pastoral Counseling Center. He also studied at the Jung Institute of Chicago and completed a D.Min. at San Francisco Theological Seminary with a focus on congregational revitalization. He was Assistant Professor of Ministry and Technology at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary from 1999 until 2007.
