About the Author:
Dr. David Thorpe is the President and owner of WorkRite Safety, an occupational consulting company located in upstate New York. He has served in leadership roles in many state and national organizations representing his profession and specialty. Dr. Thorpe is board certified in occupational health and applied ergonomics; he is also a Certified Medical Examiner (CME). In his professional role, he has worked with the National Registry in its development and implementation. He also serves on the postgraduate faculty at Northwestern Health Sciences University, and New York Chiropractic College, and is the lead trainer for the ACA/TeamCME accredited DOT training program necessary for providers that wish to sit for the NRCME certification examination for becoming a Certified Medical Examiner (CME). Dr. Thorpe is highly regarded as a top expert concerning the FMCSA, federal guidelines and standards surrounding the commercial driver physical examination, the NRCME, and the field in general.
