About the Author

David M. Thomas is the retired vice-president academic of Vancouver Island University. He was the editor and co-editor of the first four editions of Canada and the United States? and holds a PhD in political science from the University of Calgary.
Christopher Sands is the director of the Canada Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and director of the Hopkins Center for Canadian Studies at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
