About the Author:
Dr. Mary M. Gillam is a born-again Christian who loves the Lord. She is also a business owner, poet, inspirational speaker, and retired Air Force Colonel. After retiring from the military, Dr. Gillam worked as a government contractor. She was later appointed to the Senior Executive Service (SES) at the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the Pentagon where she served as the Director of Technology, Innovation and Engineering. After experiencing the entrepreneur bug, Dr. Gillam started M2G Dynamic Leadership Solutions, and the Mary M. Gillam Literary Enterprise, LLC. Both companies are service disabled veteran owned businesses. A native of Roseboro, North Carolina, Dr. Gillam was raised by her paternal grandmother under very humble conditions. Her first book, “I Never Said Good-bye” was a special tribute to her grandmother who passed while she was stationed in Korea. The book is also a testament of Dr. Gillam’s strong faith. Dr. Gillam is also the author of, “A Jewel Collage of Poetry.” Having spent over 30 years working in information systems, Dr. Gillam is the author of, “Information Warfare: Combating the Threat in the 21st Century,” and “Exploring the Impact of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 on Information Technology Governance.” A seasoned executive and servant-leader, Dr. Gillam is currently working on another book entitled, “The CORE Leadership Development Model: 4 Steps to Releasing Your Leadership Potential.” She has been awarded multiple military and leadership awards to include the Spirit of the American Woman Leadership Award and the Federal Women’s Executive Leadership Award. She also has a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma. Having been called to Evangelism in 1990, Dr. Gillam is currently enrolled in the Religious Education Studies Doctoral program at International Seminary in Florida.
