9781491037126: Consumed By The Dragon: Recipes for Transformation (Dragons)

Ahnalira Koan explores how to live a life committed to personal awakening while undergoing profound personal transformation in Consumed by the Dragon. In a new spiritual adventure, Koan brings readers with her, making five dramatic trips to Abadiania, Brazil, to open herself to the practices of João de Deus (- John of God - at Casa de Dom Inacio,) and undergoing a total of ten spiritual surgeries.

Koan analyzes the intricacies of truth, uncertainty and revelation necessary for transformation and rebirth. Her determined, conscious effort to evolve her life "optimized" an experience she generously shares on a very personal level. Warm and witty as always, Koan describes what she experienced in a way that helps her readers navigate their own spiritual paths.

Curious, open-minded seekers will find Koan's Consumed by the Dragon fascinating in its ferocious determination and commitment to honesty. Informed by triumph over human tragedy and spiritual cleansing and awakening, Koan's evocatively personal guide demonstrates the value of applying conscious intention toward making purposeful life changes.

From the Author:

It was my mother who taught me to read cookbooks for inspiration and then to create my own recipes. She gave me the gift of looking inward for the creative spark. And to all of the people and experiences that evoked the process of transformation for me or participated in a life-changing event with me: Thank you for teaching me and giving me reason to explore and refine the process of transformation.

First and foremost, though, my heartfelt appreciation extends to Casa de Dom Inacio and John of God and all the volunteers and community of Abadiania, Brazil, for providing me a transformative journey worthy of writing a book.

Consumed by the Dragon offers techniques that makes transformation conscious and intentional. Read from cover to cover or open randomly for a spark of inspiration from any individual section. Either way, this book is written to highlight the ability of your Inner Teacher to guide through the words written here.
From my heart, may this book connect us and strengthen our kinship on the awakening journey.

Ahnalira

About the Author:

Ahnalira Koan is a woman of exceptional, surprising experiences and training, having worked as a Jungian psychotherapist, meditation teacher, web and app designer, business owner and consultant, horse chiropractor, artist, and author. Her latest book, Consumed by the Dragon, is a follow up to her well-received Care and Feeding of Dragons: Confessions of a Diabetic: Beyond Law of Attraction to Align Within (2011).

Koan is interested in issues concerning health and the solutions that become possible when the mind and the body are in balance. A Near Death Experience following an automobile accident in December, 1983, helped her see everything around her as an opportunity for personal evolution and awakening. She has spent years and thousands of words helping others by sharing her spiritual journey.

Ahnalira is like a tree; she grows deep, deep roots through experience while spreading her perspective high into the light. She reaches for the stars and grounds far into Earth at the same time. Her path of awakening started early. And she learned through the contrast of trauma how to make everything an opportunity for evolution and awakening. She's been there and knows the way back. "Wisdom comes from listening," she adds, "Listen. The answer is available as soon as the question is evident." Knowing how to listen and weave the meaning into inspired action - that is the magic. Ahnalira lives where magic is real.
