About the Author

Alissandra Dramov, a native Californian, has had a lifelong interest in the state's history and has read extensively on the subject. She is also committed to historic preservation and is a member of the California Historical Society. Alissandra received a B.A. degree from the University of San Francisco, a summa cum laude graduate, with a major in government and history. Professionally, Ms. Dramov spent many years working as a broadcast journalist: a radio and television news reporter, producer, anchor, field producer, executive producer, and assistant News Director, as well as a print reporter and videographer. In addition to being the author of Carmel-by-the-Sea, The Early Years (1903-1913) and The Bohemian Biographical Guide for Northern California (1865-1915), Alissandra Dramov is currently researching her third book, Carmel-by-the-Sea, The Growth Years (1913-1943).
