About the Author:

Doug is a successful new church developer. He launched the Tyger River Presbyterian Church in Moore, SC 15 years ago and is currently planting a new church in Wilmington, NC. Doug is also a trained New Church Development Coach in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Doug has coached new church pastors and new church projects in Minnesota, Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. Additionally, Doug has spoken at new church pastor conferences in Washington DC; Tampa FL and Atlanta GA. Doug holds a Doctor of Ministry degree with specialization in New Church Development from Columbia Theological Seminary. Part of Doug's doctoral work was studying church planting in Scotland through the University of Aberdeen. Doug's doctoral project focused on how to navigate new churches through predictable growth plateaus.
