Ollie the Turtle is a book that both children and adults can relate to. The story follows Ollie as he gets separated from his family, due to events beyond his control. Although Ollie is frightened at first, he soon learns to overcome his fears and focus on his goal, which is getting back home. Ollie is not sure which way to turn, but realizes that even in times when we are outside our comfort zone, the world sends us helpers when we have gratitude and hope in our hearts. This is exactly what Ollie experiences. He sees his life, and others, in a whole different way by the end of his journey. Or is his journey just beginning...?

Courtney grew up on the Gulf Coast constantly satisfying her curiosity in both exploring far and near as well as her love of animals - especially turtles of all kinds. When she wasn't bringing in turtles to live in the bathtub at home, she was exploring the natural - mostly coastal and woodsy - world around her. To pay homage to one of her favorite animal companions of her childhood, Courtney wanted to bring to life the personality she saw in these gentle creatures, giving them more depth and whimsy. She still loves to explore and travel, and swimming with Sea Turtles in the Caribbean is still on her bucket list. This is Courtney's first children's book
