Before I get into what this novel is about, I will make it very clear that this was the first novel I ever wrote. The grammar is not to my personal liking, the format is a little off and missing page numbers, and if you are looking for a professional work then please wait until I reissue this novel's upcoming second edition. I am going through and editing, rewriting, adding to and reformatting this novel as well as its sibling, "Thorns in the Dream", which is the second novel in the Demented Dreams Series. Thank you for understanding. For J. Geraldine, life has not been typical. From difficulty deciphering truth from fantasy to the newspaper article that made her an outsider, she's had to run from everyone she's ever known. However, when her reality becomes twisted beyond control, she will have to conquer herself and piece together her fractured psyche in order to get out alive. I would consider it as a delight for those seeking a different kind of psychological horror, as this novel is based on the hallucinations [auditory and visual], dreams and emotions of a real paranoid schizophrenic. This disorder is different for each patient that experiences it, so this is not to say that my novel defines the illness - it simply defines my own particular case. Read with an open mind. REVIEWS FROM AUTHONOMY - I wasn't prepared when I started reading this at dinner... not the best combination for many people. The opening chapter is as horrific as anything by Thomas Harris or Jeffrey Deaver. This is the Hallmark Cards of Horror. Amazingly well done, I'm very impressed. Seriously backed. - I don't think I've ever read anything as dark as this. - You have successfully given us a first-person viewpoint from a very disturbed mind, making this difficult to stop reading. - A captivating page turner! - This is like watching a Stephen King book movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan. - Into the Hallway reads like Minette Walters meets Lewis Carol. - Packed with exciting and horrific scenes, I can see this being a big hit with those who like their thrillers treading the line between reality and psychosis. - High Stars for this plunge into madness of the gory kind. - You moved from reality to being in a dream like state with skill. Your description of the gruesome scenes were captivating. - Surprisingly, the power of your writing also creates empathy in the reader while you are exposing the troubled, anguished mind of a child despite the malice she is performing. This is highly commendable.

About the Author:

Formerly known under the last name of Jones, I have been writing since I was young and have since considered making it a career. I have a beautiful daughter and a loving fiancÚ with another child in our future, and by the time this book is reworked she will most likely be born. I write to relax, to channel my stress, and to delight myself with my own imagination. That may seem a tad like a pat on the back, but it isn't meant to be. I'm simply becoming more confident than I have ever been, and I hope to bring more joy...or nightmares...with my future novels. I am also known as the internet musician Imaginaerus and have released albums under this name, so if you are interested in hearing them visit the following: Thank you so much for reading this and I hope you enjoy! You can email me with your feedback at the following: I will respond as soon as I can, but don't expect a response if it is spam or solicitation.
