After 50 years as one of the early pioneers of color analysis, Irenee Riter presents this updated third edition of the science of color analysis, body analysis and face analysis exhibited by nature's lines and color templates. The intent of this work is to provide “the box of crayons” for everyone (men, women and children) to use and apply to the art of personal dress. This study goes beyond the limiting 4 seasons to reveal "balanced” Inter-seasons. Thus, solving the problem that has caused so much confusion in color analysis. Her research expands into the equally important science of body shapes and clothing lines.
This highly illustrated 309-page work is the culmination of the 90-hour required foundation color and line course Irenee taught for the prestigious Academy of Art in San Francisco. Organizing colors, hair colors and eye colors into vibrational harmonic sequences of color was "key" to the success of this work making it a classic training manual in this field. The concepts and principles are proven valid because they are based on "The Law of Attraction" which forms the root of all creative art endeavors. Students say it is like “breaking a secret code or learning a foreign language!”
Highly recommended: Because face analysis is so important to dress and has generally been overlooked, it is an area of personal analysis that needs even more in-depth study which is covered in the latest book, The Universal Language of FACE ANALYSIS offered on Amazon. This study is based on validated scientific research showing that the structure of something defines its automatic function; just as a ball will roll because it is round. Based on universal archetype lines and shapes, a face communicates through facial traits and is felt and known on some level by others. These inherent traits are so common that references to them are used in our everyday language with terms such as “a nose for news,” “highbrow,” “thin-skinned,” “level-headed,” and having an “ear for music.” All aspects of life are communicating, and the selection of clothing lines is an extension of how we express ourselves. Free Face Analysis classes are offered at www.scienceofdress.com.
Printing costs of large color layouts necessitate the reproduction of colors to be slightly less than optimal, but you can purchase the eBook version of this book from Irenee for ten dollars which assures pure back-lit color reproduction which is thrilling to companion to work with in addition to the ease of this printed practical study format as well.
