About the Author

Daniel W. Edwards is a member and former director of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club. Dan grew up in Denver, graduated from Stanford University, and received a PhD from the University of Chicago. He worked in Washington, D.C., for MCI Telecommunications, Corp. and the United States Department of Commerce until his retirement in 2009. He lives in Denver, CO. Dan has also published two volumes on the Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad, later the Colorado & Southern narrow gauge line from Denver to Leadville and Gunnison.
