Stimulating - Insightful - Provocative A new look at both Biblical prophecy and human history Debate has raged for thousands of years over the applicability of the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. Many in the present day Church believe that the time from the death of Jesus Christ until the present age is little mentioned in prophecy, including mention of the most powerful nation to ever exist on the face of the earth...the United States. Can this gap, commonly referred to as the "Church Age", really be defended when an interpretation of Daniel and Revelation is applied to the pages of modern human history? This book takes a fresh look at both Daniel and Revelation, beginning with a comprehensive outline of the themes contained in these prophecies. Holding tightly to the Hebrew and Greek meanings extracted from the study of "Interlinear texts", the author compares the messages revealed with a comprehensive examination of human history from the 18th Dynasty of Egypt until the present age. This book is a must read for those who want to better understand Daniel, Revelation and Church history. Author Bio: John Augustine Clauer. John is a graduate from Cedarville University and has a Masters Degree from the Naval War College. He has taught at the university level at Vanderbilt, Villanova and the University of Pennsylvania. After nearly 36 years of service in the United States Marine Corps (enlisted and commissioned), he taught high school US History and Government & Economics and studied worldviews with the Chuck Colson Wilberforce Institute (Centurion Program). This book is the culmination of 45 years of personal study of both scripture and history. Col Clauer's military career includes enlisted service during the Viet Nam War era, combat service in the First Gulf War and in Somalia with Task Force Ranger, and service in counter drug operations in Central America. He served as the lead for the US military's development of future fighting concepts and capabilities in the late 90s. His military service took him to over 25 foreign countries and territories. He and his wife Ruth have three children and six grandchildren.
