A Revelation to the Church: A Call for the Endurance and Faith of the Saints by Stephen Popp presents commentary and criticism on the book of Revelation and its purpose, intended audience, and message to the Christian church. His discussion of the book of Revelation centers on the premise that it was written to, for, and about the church. With biblical support and scholarly research from a historical and religious perspective, the author walks the reader through the book of Revelation and proves that it was written with the church in mind as an audience and beneficiary. Stephen Popp exposes the weaknesses of pop theology that rejects an exegetical reading of the book of Revelation and shows the proper relationship between the rapture, the tribulation, and God's wrath. Laying a foundation of understanding for the study of eschatology as understood in the book of Revelation, Stephen Popp builds a comprehensive argument that church members, leaders, and pastors will appreciate.

The book of Revelation has been stolen from the church, and the culprit may surprise you. The culprit is not the unbelieving critic, the liberal theologian, or even the religious fanatic. It is you and I. We have embraced a theology of end-time events that has prevented us from hearing the prophetic voice of Revelation.
A Revelation to the Church returns the book of Revelation to its rightful owner, the church. It provides a fresh paradigm for reading the book of Revelation built on solid exegesis, not speculative theology. It recognizes that the book of Revelation was written to prepare the church for things to come, and it shows us how to live so that we may receive the promised blessing.
