About the Author

Vivien Kells, born 1950 in Coffs Harbour, NSW, is the great niece and long-time admirer of this exquisite Australian artist, Margaret Clark. Vivien has compiled each chapter of her story to accompany and showcase the little-known illustrations, some of which she fondly remembers from her own childhood, for new generations. A chance finding of a work for sale on the internet sparked a passion to bring Aunty Margaret's beautiful work to the world. Vivien has lived in New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory. The proud mother of two and grandmother of five children (last count) has worked as a competent bookkeeper before retiring and now dabbles in watercolours and travel photography.
