About the Author:

Karen Hopkins grew up in California. She moved to Chile at the age of seventeen. After completing a university degree she went to work for Pan American Airlines based in London. During that time she traveled in Europe, the Middle East, India, and South America. For a number of years Karen taught high school Spanish and English as a Second Language in a variety of settings. During that time, she continued to travel with her husband and eight children. Much of what she writes reflects her experiences over the years.
