Ari is a 7-year-old boy who has been sent to see Dr. J to help him cope with being bullied at school. He doesn’t know what to expect when he spends his Wednesday afternoons with Dr. J and is reluctant to go. He learns that by talking, he can begin to understand why he feels the way he does, and then he can turn his sad feelings into happy ones! “Wednesday Afternoons with Dr. J” by Dr. Jonathan Jenkins, is a whimsical illustrated picture book that gently exposes children to the basic principles of psychotherapy and the discussion of emotions.
