Synopsis

The green economy represents an important support to economic growth, investments and competitiveness. Therefore, it is considered to be an important alternative in attaining the general wellbeing of the humans, which is seen in the decrease of the risk while preserving the environment and using alternative energy sources. Atmospheric gases, especially carbon dioxide, create the greenhouse effect which influences the climate changes. They are already generating the extreme weather conditions, including powerful hurricanes and floods which have recently affected the Western Balkans. Having this in mind, this book is created with the intention not only to point out to the extent to which the Western Balkan countries have accepted the concept of green growth, but also to see what results are achieved in respect of implementation of this concept with the goal of overcoming the economic and financial crisis and creating the conditions for sustainable growth of this Region. Besides this, the intention was to emphasise the political, economic and legal limitations that are blocking faster development of green economy, as well as the possibilities of their overcoming, This monograph has a very broad topic range, with the goal of comprising the most important aspects and considerations of these issues. As the end result of theoretical and research considerations of the author, in approximately twenty chapters, one gets a clear insight in how the Region has progressed in respect of making the most important sectors "green“.

Acad.Mirjana Radovic-Markovic,Ph.D is a full professor of Entrepreneurship .She is a Fellow (Academician) of the Academia Europaea ,London (UK) ,European Academy of of Arts and Science (EASA), World Academy of Art and Science (United States), The Euro Mediterranean Academy of Arts and Sciences ,Athens (Greece),the Royal Society of the Arts in the UK (the RSA ) ,London (UK) and Bulgarian Academy of Science and Arts (BASA).She has employed at Faculty of Business economics and Entrepreneurship and Institute of Economic Sciences,Belgrade.Serbia.She has written thirty books and more than hundred peers' journal articles. Professor `s book Women and Entrepreneurship: Female Durability, Persistence and Intuition at Work; Gower Publishing, Ltd., 2013.became best-seller book in 2014.in United States.In line with this, she expects to repeat the success of her previous book with this new one. Zorana Nikitovic,Ph.D is an assistant professor.She was born in Valjevo,Republic of Serbia. Undergraduate and Master studies she completed at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade. Postgraduate studies she completed at Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality in Ohrid, and the PhD thesis she defended at the University of Business Engineering and Management, Faculty of Economy, Banja Luka,Republic of Srpska. The areas of her professional interest are marketing, management and entrepreneurship. Dragica Jovancevic,Ph.D is an assistant professor.She was born in Cacak,Republic of Serbia. Undergraduate studies she completed at the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade (foreign trade). Postgraduate studies she completed at The University “St. Cyril and Methodius”, Bitola,FYR Macedonia and the PhD thesis she defended at the Faculty of Economy, Banja Luka,Republic of Srpska.
