This workbook is a comprehensive 12-week self-help skills training curriculum derived from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) group skills training. It includes handouts, worksheets, corresponding YouTube videos, weekly diary cards, journal prompts, quizzes, and teaches the entire array of DBT life enhancement skills that organize into the four following modules: core mindfulness skills, distress tolerance skills, emotion regulation skills, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Rachel Gill is a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians, a mental health advocate and a certified peer support specialist in recovery from borderline personality disorder. She has a Bachelor of Science in Social and Behavioral Sciences and is working toward a PhD in clinical psychology with respective emphasis on researching and developing a professional training model for DBT oriented peer support specialists, Curricula for DBT group skills training stages 2-4, and web-based mental health applications. Ms. Gill has completed DBT as a client in a fully implemented program, attended a 2-day mindfulness training with DBT's founder, Marsha Linehan, as well as completed DBT Chain Analysis Training and DBT Validation Principles & Strategies training via e-courses available through Behavioral Tech. In her free time, Gill enjoys adding content to her DBT Peer Connections website at ilovedbt.com; providing peer support to her peers in crisis through her Facebook group; creating DBT worksheets, videos, articles, essays, and collecting DBT research literature and clinical manuals. In addition to her DBT oriented hobbies, Rachel is also an independent artist who writes, produces, and publishes original music, poetry, and multimedia pieces under the moniker Pinki Tuscaderro.
