9781511475037: Southern Tears of Karma

Melissa, the youngest of her siblings, considers herself the black sheep of the family. Her childhood struggles with her weight contribute to low self-esteem, and a poor relationship with her mother makes things worse. Constant comparisons with her siblings leave Melissa emotionally crippled and she cannot find acceptance and self-worth. Momma Bell, Melissa's grandmother, believes the family is cursed and the women will never find true love. Despite her grandmother's beliefs, Melissa is determined to find love and when she does, will do anything to keep it. After several life-changing and traumatic events, Melissa starts to believe Momma Bell is right.
