When Tia Brandt, VP for Quality at parent company Mellerd Engineering, is sent to determine what’s wrong with floundering turbine systems subsidiary Gentursol, she has no idea what she’s getting herself into. Ruled by a volatile and self-absorbed manager, Gentursol’s engineering organization is nothing like she’s ever experienced before and seems to be staffed exclusively by dysfunctional characters—many of whom are clinging to the edge of sanity.
And when the children of an annoyingly ambitious employee, Janna Harland—who both hates and aspires to be Tia Brandt—are viciously murdered, law enforcement quickly turns its attention to the staff of the ailing engineering firm. However, even though staff members strongly suspect evil overseer Fallon Landis to be involved—and maybe even guilty of the murders—when Tia’s earring turns up at the crime scene, it’s not long before she’s deemed a primary suspect.
But in an atmosphere of suspicion, distrust and hostility in the extreme, is anyone truly innocent? It would seem that just about anyone could have been driven to commit this horrific act of vengeance.
