Crashing into your dream... amid a tragic nightmare; having your dream abandon you and try to make you believe it's for your own good; giving all of yourself to a virtual stranger because in your heart you know... he is the one.... and finally becoming his; it's a swift and passionate journey for any woman... but for Shelly Banton, reluctant and rebellious high-society debutante and only heir to the Banton Technologies fortune, it's a risk of monumental proportions. David Troy is hot and sexy... but Shelly isn't one to bed a man for a cheap thrill. It has to mean something... or it doesn't happen... and sex as never meant that much to Dave. Come take a wild ride on a black horse through the night with Shelly and Dave as they navigate traffic, lean into the curves, and let it all come naturally... "Like good sex"... in The Deep End.

The second series in "The Deep End" collection is the story of David Troy and Shelly Banton. In writing this series I once again used people and events from my own life. One character in particular in volume six, the first volume in this; the second series, was modeled after my little brother, Danny. The book was published in August of 2014. A few months later, in October of 2014, Danny passed away. So... yes... this series holds special value in my heart. Danny was forty when he passed away, but he had the life and physical ability of someone who'd been six months old for forty years. Before he was even born, Cerebral Palsy claimed any potential he had for a better quality of life. Watching my father grieve his passing has given me a new perspective on parenthood and I hope I was able to convey some of that perspective in this series. A reader recently told me that she loves this series because she can tell I put a lot of myself and my heart into the stories and characters. I was pleased to know that she was able to deduce that on her own, because it's the only way I know how to write. I can't create totally false people and totally false events and make them come to life as if they actually did happen. I can only draw from my own life, experiences, loved ones, and some of what those people are willing to share with me, and with you. As to Dave and Shelly... They would not rest in my mind until their story was told. They are, after all, the very foundation of the Troy family. They are the glue that holds the family together, and the oil that keeps it running as smoothly as one can expect from a bunch of uber-hot alpha males turned loose on the women of Dallas Texas. And they do have their hands full; don't they? Happy Reading ;) Lourie Nolan
