About the Author:
Manuel Garcia Cartagena publicó su primer libro en 1980: el poema titulado Mar abierto, al cual le siguieron Palabra (Premio Siboney de 1984), Poemas malos, Los Habitantes (los tres aparecidos en 1985) y recientemente incluidos en Manicomio de papel, versión integral (únicamente disponible a través de amazon.com). Comentarios acerca de su obra han sido incluidos en numerosas enciclopedias y textos de crítica literaria especializada. Se le considera una de las figuras más representativas de la poesía y la narrativa dominicanas de los años ochenta del siglo XX. Aparte de estos títulos, hasta la fecha ha publicado siete novelas y dos libros de relatos, todos disponibles en página de Ediciones Bangó en Amazon.com.
