To his mother he was William Frederick Cody, but to the rest of the world he came to be known as “Buffalo Bill.” Born in 1846, Buffalo Bill was Civil War veteran, Army scout, buffalo hunter, and showman. He is reported to have worked as a Pony Express rider at the tender age of 14 --- how much is legend and how much is fact can probably never be truly known, since the advent of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in 1883 blurred those lines considerably. These are stories of Buffalo Bill before he became Buffalo Bill, and was simply Cody of the Pony Express. We're publishing all four individual issues (three from Charlton and one from Fox Features), OR you can get them all together in The Complete “Cody Of The Pony Express”, OR you can find him teamed up with the TV Western Colt. 45, in the 350-page giant Classic Comics Library #33.
