This book is the Ido translation of the English novel Druid of Ulster, based on ancient Irish mythology. In the time of Caesar and Christ, all of Europe stood on the brink of change! Not only kingdoms, but whole continents would soon convert to the very unlikely religion of peace called Christianity. King Conor ruled the northern Irish seacoast kingdom called Ulster. Conor's father and political advisor was the great teacher-druid seer of his age, Cathbad (pronounced KAH-vuh). Beloved of his people, Cathbad was a pivotal figure in every important story of Ulster during that era, performing amazing acts of divination and magic, and wielding ultimate authority over druids and kings. What made this man such an enduring legend? Read Cathbad's fictionalized autobiography as he tells it in Druid of Ulster! Go to druid school with Cathbad the freeman's son, who rises from poverty to the king's palace. Agonize with Cathbad the loving father, who builds an empire of power and then watches his children pay the terrible price for it. Hope and despair with Cathbad, leader of the barbaric Irish Celts, as he tries to civilize them in an unimaginably violent time. Learn with Cathbad that no one can bring about the future before its time...not even the druid of Ulster.

About the Author:

Druido di Ulster is the happy result of global friendship between three like-minded, internet workaholics. Several years ago, self-published author Sarah Paul of USA and translator Allan Rockett of UK had the good fortune to share the same Ido tutor online, V. R. Srinivasan of India, a benevolent, retired scientist. Through that mutual contact, author Sarah and Ido translator Allan became email pen pals. Eventually they collaborated to publish Druido di Ulster, placing it on the market as a nonprofit public domain project to help promote Ido, the international language of peace and global communication.
