This book discusses a North American setting for the Book of Mormon from a faithful perspective. It goes through the text, chapter-by-chapter, to show how Mormon described the land he first traversed as an 11-year-old boy, from New York to Iowa. The narrow neck of land, the small neck of land, the sea west, the narrow strip of wilderness--all these features and more are addressed. Dozens of maps help explain the narrative. 327 footnotes offer readers opportunities for additional research.

Jonathan Neville is an author, educator, lawyer, and businessman who has written a variety of books on various topics, fiction and non-fiction. A believing Mormon, for several decades he accepted the "consensus" view promoted by LDS scholars that the Book of Mormon took place in Mesoamerica. Upon closer examination, however, he concluded that theory did not match the text, let alone Church history, geology, anthropology, or archaeology. He conducted extensive research and analysis that led to his conclusion that the text actually describes North America.
