Susan B. Johnson is a novelist, playwright, journalist, and historian. Her play Finders Weepers was published in 1993 and has been performed in venues across the country. Her short stories, columns, and articles have appeared in many national and regional publications. In 2008 both a nonfiction book, Savannah’s Little Crooked Houses: If These Walls Could Talk, and a novel, Spirit Willing: A Savannah Haunting, were published, for which she was nominated Georgia Author of the Year. Susan lives in a 215-year-old cottage in the historic heart of Savannah, Georgia. For seventeen years she taught composition and literature at both Armstrong State University and South University in Savannah. During those years she wrote newspaper columns and magazine articles for various publications. Now retired, she devotes her time to writing and watercolor painting.
