The struggle to survive just got harder. What would you do if you found out everything was a lie?

When Adara embarks on a perilous quest through the hostile Wilderness to save Deogol, she uncovers conspiracies and lies kept hidden for centuries. Secrets that uncover the origin to all the inhabitants of NotSoGreatBritAlbion and the truth behind her destiny. During her journey through the ravaged terrain, her search is jeopardised by lustful Woodsmales, savage Wolfies, and corrupt monks in the Monastery in the Clouds who try to use her special powers for evil. Yet Amongst the outcasts and deviants she encounters, Adara finds unlikely friendships that help her come to terms with her vocal ability and realise her true potential as a Bringer and powerful weapon. ‘I loved the unique language, and both the style and the voice of the book reminded me of Patrick Ness' Walking Chaos Trilogy. I would definitely recommend it to people who enjoy his books! A brilliant and unique read for adults and young adults alike.’ This outsideness is a savage place I know nowt about.  I must creep and peep all stealthy-like to track down my bro-bro snatched by Agro scum for who knows what. Best keep shutums about my voice, though, in case more crazy folk want to use me for bringing down the birdles. It’s a good job I’m trained in S.A.N.T. ways, for I’ll need all my roughhouse skills to keep the Agro spies, Nearlys and Wolfies at bay until I find and bring home my bro and all the other missing Meeks. I just wish I knew who or what is following my every move. Echoes from the Lost Ones is a great addition to the dystopian/Sci-fi tradition of authors such as Patrick Ness, Ursula K Le Guin and Octavia E. Butler. Review:

5.0 out of 5 stars A fresh voice 1 Jun 2013By kbimFormat:Paperback|Amazon Verified PurchaseThis is very fine work from a new author with a unique voice and vision. If there's any justice it will become a classic of the genre! The idiosyncratic use of language, combined with distinctive character and story development make it a book that definitely rewards re-reading. Looking forward to part 2....

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! Jun 30 2013By Margarita GakisFormat:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified PurchaseWhat an amazing read! Not only world building but language building as well! So much of the setting comes through in the language of the characters. Adara is a fantastic heroine and protagonist. She is strong, smart and unaware of her true powers. I can't wait to read more in the series.

I cannot stress enough how much I loved the mythology and history of this future world. The cadence and language of the book is amazing.
