“Let Us go about our Work” was an exhortation by F. W. Mattox to students during the first years of Lubbock Christian College (1957 – 1962). To emphasize, this was not just about one person, but giving notice that we all had to work in order to make it happen. “Let Us go about our Work” celebrates our rich heritage and remembers the simple vision of our founders: learning, character and citizenship. Those of us who were among the first students at Lubbock Christian University are very blessed to be a part of this great institution. We are also very thankful to have this opportunity to share our stories of the early years with you. Our time on campus as students prepared us to meet life’s challenges. All of us can see the blessings that God has bestowed on the University, and all of us have one thing in common: our life has been transformed by the experience.
