'Thoughts and Poetry for the Soul and out of Boredom' is a compilation of short, easy to read, thoughts and poems I have written over the course of a few years, which I began posting on Facebook as a way to vent, share, or maybe even educate my soul and hopefully others. For the most part, I made them short and concise so as to allow the reader to get a "literary quickie" and be on their way. Everything that you are about to read here has come right out of my heart, and may or may not make sense to you, but it guarantees to keep you busy for a while, and who knows, maybe even I'll get a smile or two out of you. This book contains no profanity that I can think of, so I think it is safe for teens to read, but if you find any words not suitable for kids, be sure to write me promptly and I will rewrite it. About the Author:

Engel was born in the District of La Perla in Callao, Peru. Raised in a fusion of cultures, he began his music journey under the tutelage of his father whom had created for Engel a world outside the norm. From the early age of five, he was touched by rock and roll great ones such as Elvis Presley and The Beatles, but it was a Peruvian rock band, “Frágil,” that brought upon in his heart the hunger for being on stage. During his teenage years he grew a passion for other genres, Blues and Heavy Metal, but never forgetting his roots of Folklore and Afro-Peruvian rhythms. Engel hung his dancing shoes and musical talents to join the military for what seemed to be a lifetime, but came back shining forming a band, his dream come true. Currently, a community advocate, actor enthusiast, model and fashionista, Engel enjoys playing and writing songs, poetry, being on stage, and just having the time of his life, he lives in peace, in love and in harmony with his children in Tucson, Arizona. Engel nació en el Distrito de La Perla en El Callao, Perú. En una fusión de culturas, comenzó su viaje musical bajo la tutela de su padre el quien había creado para Engel un mundo fuera de lo normal. Desde la temprana edad de cinco años, fue iluminado y motivado por los grandes del rock and roll, grandes como Elvis Presley y Los Beatles, pero fue un grupo de rock peruano, "frágil" el que creó en su corazón el hambre de estar en el escenario. A través de sus años de adolescencia, creció la pasión de otros géneros como el Blues y Heavy Metal pero sin olvidar sus raíces del folclor y ritmos afro-peruanos. Engel cuelga sus zapatos de baile y talento musical para unirse a las fuerzas armadas americanas por lo que pareciera ser toda una vida, pero volvió brillando al crear su primera banda, su sueño hecho realidad. Actualmente, mediador de derechos comunitarios, actor aficionado, modelo y fashionista. A Engel le gusta tocar música, escribir canciones y poesía, le gusta el escenario, y el simple hecho de poder disfrutar de su vida, vive en paz, en amor y en armonía con sus hijos en Tucson, Arizona.
