This book is a compilation of family Indian recipes, mostly Parsi. They were handed down between friends and across generations, and were finally put into writing so that our friends could easily re-create the dishes we served them. This book makes these recipes available to anybody.

Ryna Karnik was born in Portland, Oregon - her parents had immigrated from India, bringing with them a wealth of traditional family recipes, especially from her Parsi mother. Ryna now lives in Redmond, Washington with her husband Field. She is an optical engineer at Microsoft, specializing in biometric sensing. When not cooking or shooting lasers at things, she enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and calligraphy.
