Wayne Gustaveson grew up in Bountiful, Utah. His favorite outdoor activities were fishing and hunting. Upon graduating with a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Utah he served in the Marine Corps. The yearning to return to his dream of hunting and fishing beckoned him back to Utah State University where he qualified to become a fisheries biologist. He worked for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources for two summers before being offered a job at Lake Powell. Wayne has spent the last 40 years managing Lake Powell fisheries and learning about the surprising behavior of striped bass, which is unique in Lake Powell when compared with other fisheries in America. In this book he explains those differences and offers advice on how to successfully fish at one of the most beautiful lakes on earth.
