This textbook teaches the user how to create tolerance stacks using the ‘Two Column’ method. The book teaches how to establish a stack path, ground out the parts, and create a stack using all geometric characteristics. Fundamental concepts of GD&T are reviewed when introducing each characteristic. It includes examples of specific stacks that should be done for a bolted joint with fixed fasteners. It also has a special focus on stacks to determine “do the bolts fit through the holes” with fixed fasteners and floating fasteners with various different levels of assumptions.
